Berlin Male is a site featuring content of males from Berlin, but you knew that much already. They have a clean-looking site, and seem to offer a lot of solo male content, though they have a gay section as well for those interested. The site is offered in both German and English, though you could almost get around the site either way since it's pretty straightforward. They give some stats on their homepage, and the site currently features 214 models, over 26,000 pictures, and 227 videos. The only weird part about that is that I can see they update weekly in their log, but our content count from two months back put them at 213 models and 226 videos. I'd guess there's a counting error on our part or something. Membership is $25 a month, which is right about where I'd expect it to be.
The goods:
- Exclusive niche content. It's nice to see some new male content, as so often we see the same old content re-used over and over. Their collection is a decent size as well, which makes the exclusive aspect even better.
- Videos look decent. The specs are average, but maybe there isn't a ton of movement going on often as they looked a little better than expected.
- Updates come regularly. They're only weekly, but they're pretty consistent with them. The collection is already not too shabby, so add in regular updates and their numbers should continue to grow.
- Browsing options are nice. On almost every page they give you a few options of how to display things. This ranges from how many thumbnails per page, to how to sort the galleries or videos you're viewing. The only thing missing would be a search feature to find either specific types of sets, or specific types of models.
The bads:
- Pictures could be larger. The quality looks real good on them, but I was disappointed that they weren't offered in a larger size as well. They currently come in around 1050x700 which isn't bad, but I'd say there's some room for growth there.
- Videos only in German. They can't dub over the audio on the videos, so in the interview portions, you're stuck listening to gibberish unless you happen to speak German of course.
- Videos only offered in WMV clips. This means no full-video downloads, and no other video types if WMV isn't your favorite. It's not a huge deal as they worked fine for me, but I'm always a fan of more options instead of fewer.
Conclusion:
Overall, Berlin Male is a pretty decent site I'd say. The few things I'd change are relatively minor for now. On the positive side you get some good content that updates often, and a decent collection of it. The site looks good and is reasonably easy to get around. I'd say it's definitely worth a look if you like what you see in the tour, as inside the site continues to deliver.
