I'm a bit scared to bash this site right off the bat because of the subject matter we're dealing with. However, Becky's Dungeon isn't quite a looker of a site exactly. The tour (and member's area consequently) are extremely plain and don't feature any graphics at all. However, the content looks to be exciting and authentic if you're into this BDSM stuff they've got going on. They've also got a pretty weird billing setup in that you have to join for two months totaling $30, which will rebill at the same rate for the same time period once that's up (they also have a $40 three-month non-recurring membership option as well).
The goods:
- Pretty hardcore content here. Between all the candle drippings, breast ties, nipple clamps, chains, whips, and more, you've got a bondage smorgasbord going on that should be very pleasing to some. The content is king here for sure, and the main reason to join I'd say. On top of everything else, I'm assuming it's all exclusive which is another bonus.
- A decent amount of content up. It's not a very large site, but it's not too small either. When you break it down to your monthly cost (even though they make you join for two months at a time), you get a decent amount for your money here.
The bads:
- Navigation is pretty confusing. The site all around is just a mess unfortunately. For pictures, they break things up into categories of content which is fine. For videos, they break it down by video type, and they don't even really get that one right either (see below about WMV's downloading as AVI's). It's very hard to find what's new, and I just never felt like I was finding what I wanted to see at any one time.
- Updates aren't dated. I have no idea how often the site is added to, or if it's even growing at all. There are no dates anywhere, so you're left to rummage around the site on your own to see if you find something new.
- Design could use some work, too. As I mentioned previously, it's a very plain site. There are no graphics, and the black background with white and gray text isn't very inspiring either.
- Downloads came slow. I had to use a download accelerator just to get to half of our internet connection max here. Otherwise, it was at about 1/10th of our normal speed for some reason which made for some long video downloads.
- WMV files were actually AVI files for me. I'm not sure how this happened since the links are correct, but they must be doing some kind of re-write or something to actually forward you to an AVI file instead of the WMV link.
Conclusion:
The one huge plus here is the crazy, fun content. It seems they know their bondage material and like to have fun with it. The site itself and all those details are just too big of a mess for me. They really, really need to overhaul the entire site to get things back in order. I'd like consistency, more info, and a much more user-friendly experience overall.
