The title of Hustler's Barely Legal is pretty much self explanatory. This is the Hustler site dedicated to teen (18+) content or as they call it "The #1 Online Magazine & Barely Legal Megasite". Sounds pretty impressive, doesn't it? The reality is what's offered here are ezine archives and picture galleries, Outside of those two sections, there's not much to see if you're looking for teen content. Everything else is generic Hustler porn and leased outside pics and feeds. I'm not surprised since this a common practice among corporate sites is to promote a site as "Teen", or any niche for that matter, when only a small percentage of the content relates to the niche. I'm sure many of you have been mislead at some time or another by this technique.
So this "Barely Legal Online Magazine" is, in my mind, the site centerpiece. There are monthly issues back to March 2000 with each having a few articles, features, and about 10 pictorials. The pictorials have one gallery per girl with a short intro about what she's into about sex. The galleries are purchased content from other internet photography studios. It says on top of every page "Photography by...". Most pics are good quality and are around 800x600 or a bit smaller. I don't know what it is about the pictures, but they just look old, posed, and rehashed. There's no spontaneity in the photography and the collection can't compete with other sites that offer original pictures of young models. The same goes for the "Barely Legal Exclusive Teen Galleries". Like many other sites, these guys use a broad interpretation of the word "teen". Many of these girls are obviously well into their 20's.
I don't know what it is about Hustler's sites, but they are among the slowest loading paysites around. I mentioned the same thing in my Hustler review and it's very annoying. I don't know if it's because of the amount of traffic their dealing with or what, but you'd think they would have servers that could handle anything. That's not the case though, this site is slow too.
Of the remaining content, the best part seems to be Hustler's Exclusive XXX Movie Player. It's got over 500 hardcore scenes from Hustler films. Formats include high and low bandwidth Real, QuickTime, and Windows Media. Although it's not teen content, it is a pretty formidable collection of hardcore porn movies.
The rest is a plethora of pictures, feeds, live cams, games, and all the other leased content you can imagine. As you can see, there's a limited amount of teen galleries and then a bunch of extras. It pretty much follows the formula of so many other porn supersites. Unlike others though, Barely Legal has the benefit of having the Hustler name behind it. One big plus of it being part of Hustler's collection is the price. Membership is just $9.95/mo which really helps take the edge off of the fact that the site relies on a lot of leased content. So many other paysites charge upwards of $30 or $40 same type of stuff.

Hustler tends to stick with what works for them so there haven't been any real changes to Barely Legal. My opinion remains that the main Hustler site is really good since it's got a ton of magazine-ish content for a low price. The niche sites like Barely Legal aren't as valuable because the content is too much repetition of the main Hustler site. Currently this site still has its Barely Legal Online Magazine monthly issues and the mass of other generic Hustler material. One technical change has to with the videos; they used to be only streaming and now they are downloadable. Don't get too excited though all are DRM protected meaning they're useless once you cancel your membership.
Score remains at 70.6.

As I expected Barely Legal continues along the same path it was on at the time of our initial review and first follow-up. The Barely Legal online magazine archives continue every month and all told that makes for six years worth of those issue galleries. The site movies continue to be through the general Hustler video system which includes titles related to Barely Legal and other Hustler productions. Since there haven't been any changes other than the updates the points I made in the preview reviews still stand.
Score increased from 70.6 to 72.5.
