The Bangbros Network is one of the most established video/reality networks around. TBP has had a review of this collection for years though they used to operate under the Ox Pass title. Over time they adjusted their main system over to the Bangbros name so we're re-publishing a review of what they have to offer. This company has been creating their own content for years and they have been and remain one of the leading creators of reality porn.
The Goods:
- Big Ol' Collection of Reality Episodes. These guys were on the scene at the beginning of the reality craze. The flagship site has to be BangBus.com which certainly helped popularize this style of porn. Over the years Bangbros has continued to grow their content with new sites and new episodes. Overall members have access to a huge collection of original videos and supporting picture galleries.
- Steady Updates, Date Info For All Vids. The one bit of information found on all the episodes whether is newer or older is the date-added details. They clearly post that which is a positive. As a network there are daily updates. If I may generalize the typical update pace is one new episode per site per week. It doesn't always hold true but it's a good rule of thumb here.
- Full-Movie Files & Clips. There are a few different download choices. Full-movie files are in place which I like to see. Each episode is also offered in four large clip segments. Additionally short 1-minute clips can also be streamed or downloaded. One interesting thing they do is allow members to rate the episodes but also there is a rating posted for each clip. That gives perspective on what members think of the action in that segment of the shoot.
- Browse By Site or Model Index. The design isn't anything fancy although it is fairly straightforward and easy to understand. It's possible to browse the included sites individually or there is a "Cast" page with a model index. There is also a favorites function as well as a dedicated network update page.
The Bads:
- Average Quality Older Videos. The video quality across the network is okay although it's not top of the line as far as movie sites go. Going back into the archives there are more average quality movies as is to be expected. The basic formats here are WMV and MPEG and they don't offer things like QT or iPod options.
- A Few Sites Are No Longer Updating. As time has gone by some sites have been relegated to the no longer updating status. As I bumped around the network checking this out I ran into a handful that fit this description. It could be a negative to those who are interested in one particular site/niche and find out that's one of the dead sites that are not shooting new stuff.
- Some Member's Area Upsells. Although this isn't a large issue there are cam and personal links included right on the main network navigation header. It's worth mentioning since they're listed fairly prominently in the member’s area.
Conclusion:
One item that I didn't get to discuss yet is a "Behind-the-Scenes" section which has several dozen clips with weird/funny events that have taken place during their shoots. It's the type of thing that adds another dimension to the network so it's good that they take time to post that stuff. All told Bangbros fits among the top reality/video networks because they have lots of fun sites and tons of original content.
