If only more women would open up their own internet sex sites the world would be a lot better place. Imagine looking in the white pages for you neighbor's daughter who went off to college last year and having a www. address listed there for easy boob viewing. There are actually a lot more sites around today than there were years ago, and I think it's a good thing. While you don't normally get the vast amount of content you can on a mega-site, you get a personal touch that some people absolutely love.
Ariel's site is actually relatively new according to her forum, which puts the start date in late August, 2004. Thankfully the site is still an okay site, with almost 120 galleries up right now (although the video section is a bit smaller unfortunately). $20 is about what every other single-girl site costs, so the site is pretty standard there.
As I was browsing around, I noticed the menu would disappear from the main page sometimes, with no idea how to get it back. It must be a browser/javascript random problem, but it's pretty annoying to not know how to get around the site now. A quick log out and log in fixed the problem. Now I can get to her photo galleries, which are divided up into four categories (no hardcore here, and there never will be she says). The categories are nice, but I wouldn't mind seeing a main updates page where all the galleries are listed either. Photos are colorful and a bit unique, though small. Most come in the 600x400 range, although a couple jumped up to an enormous 750x500 if you can believe it. They have a darker, fetish feel to them with interesting lighting and colors. They also offer a zip file if you're interested, as well as a slideshow.
There are about 20 video clips up right now, which doesn't make for a huge video section. A majority are either behind the scenes, or Q&A sessions. Sometimes they are more artsy than anything, with a few black and white or harsh-lighting clips mixing things up. Quality is just okay at 250kbps in Windows Media format. She tries real hard here, and ends up with a video section that's different from most amateur's out there. You'll probably love it or hate it, but mostly I'd just like to see more here.
She has a very set update schedule, with journal entries coming on Tuesdays and Fridays, and cam shows coming Thursdays and Saturdays. A new photoset comes on Mondays, and a new video on Wednesdays, while a girlfriend gallery will be added each Sunday. She also has a forum to check out that isn't very active unfortunately, but Ariel is there if you ever want to post to her.
The site is okay all around, with nothing too spectacular sticking out. Growth will help in time, and I'd also like to see better content down the road (larger pictures and better-looking videos). She seems to be doing most everything right here, and just has the problems any newer site will have. This one will be interesting down the road to see what's changed.

I think that there is more bad news here than good news at Ariel X this time around. First, the good news is that pictures are larger than before, and updates and journal entries are still coming. However, the growth since we were last here isn't quite that impressive. It looks like things have slowed down to one update per week, and one journal entry per week. Gone are the camshows altogether it seems. Video quality is as it was before, which means it seriously needs an upgrade at this point. With the stiff competition out there, and the fewer features offered overall, I think this one will head south a bit unfortunately.
Score decreased from 75.6 to 74.4.
