Ariel X confuses me a bit. Her site plays out like an amateur's but on the free tour she refers to herself as an adult supermodel. Furthermore her blog mentions things like modeling and movie jobs, so I'm not really clear on what her status is. I looked around for a bio or resume but didn't find one. What is obvious is her site comes across with a certain level of darkness to it. The dark gray, black, and red design imply a fetish and goth atmosphere (along with Ariel's jet black hair and deep makeup). Overall it's a very sharp looking site that's well organized and easy to navigate.
The best thing about the photo galleries is the categorization and navigation tools. She has four main sections: Fetish, Girl on Girl, Girlfriends, and Nudes. Then each has a one or two word title that's actually fairly descriptive (i.e. Playful, Everafter, Wet and Wild). No matter which gallery you're in a dropdown menu is available to jump to any other gallery on the site. With some organization and simple tools it's amazing how user-friendly sites can be, I just wish more webmaster would use these techniques like Ariel has. Now for the worst part of the photos which is the quality. They're just too small for a paysite; many are smaller than 400x600. As far as content goes these are very artistic and creative with lots of solo and girl/girl posing. The amount of creativity behind them makes me wonder why they aren't larger and sharper pictures.
The videos follow the dark fetish theme and actually they're pretty erotic especially some of the girl/girl make out scenes although there's only a handful of those. The vids have a grainy, rough, and artistic look about them which I like; it meshes well with the site. Currently (as of 12/8/04) the site has just 19 videos so that's the biggest drawback to that section.
For interaction Ariel does Thursday (9pm PT) and Saturday (6pm) webcam shows and offers a forum and blog. Neither the forum or blog are overly active, she posts a blog entry around 5 times per month. No 3rd party content is offered, the only other item I haven't motioned is her few wallpapers. Considering the size of the site, I think the $19.95/mo membership is about right; I wouldn't want to see it cost more. Before you join make sure to remember the pictures aren't huge and the videos section is relatively small.

In the two years since our initial review Ariel X's site has evolved in several ways which make the site better. The member's area has a full page bio and judging by the recent month's activity she's been more active in her journal. The picture section has a couple noteworthy improvements. She now has 6 categories of pics: Artistic Nudes, Fetish, Girl/Girl, Girlfriends, Glamour, and Masturbation. As you can tell by the titles she covers everything except guy/girl hardcore. The picture size and quality has improved over time too with the newer stuff being quite good quality. The videos section continues to grow with one new movie per week. The quality is the one thing that could still be stepped up. These scores have changed: Quantity +1.5, Entertain +0.5, and Quality +0.5.
Score increased from 72.8 to 76.1.
