It's amazing how much insight into human nature one can get while sitting in front of a computer. Any Webcam is a perfect example of the differences between men and women. In this webcam and chat community, the ratio of men to women is over 5 to 1. On top of that the men are showing much more than I wanted to see and the women holding back or teasing by just taking their shirt off. Furthermore, the vast majority of these women who are flashing and showing their goodies on a webcam are not what I'd call hot babes. Many are older and larger than most guys like to see. It could be many of these ladies are members here so that they can get some kind of an erotic thrill into their lives. Lets be realistic, these chicks are giving their nakedness away for free! If they were highly desirable, really into webcam exhibitionism, and thought guys would pay to see them naked, they'd be running their own amateur site or doing pay-per-minute shows.
Any Webcam works like this: basic membership is free; the community includes live refreshing webcams, chat rooms, message boards, surveys, and awards. All that is required to view the webcams is a simple java script which is available on the site. With free membership you have access to the most important areas of the site - webcams, chatrooms, and message boards. It's not necessary to broadcast your own webcam to participate in the activities. The webcams quality is okay and they refresh every few seconds. They are categorized and browseable several ways: Gender, Rating, Country, and Sexuality. Simply clicking on a member's username pops up their webcam. Navigating the site is simple enough. The chatrooms are mostly member rooms that work like any common chatrooms might. The title usually tells you what kind of discussion is going on and obviously you can look at all the chatter's webcams while you talk.
If you wish to share yourself on your own cam, you need to download and install their "Broadcaster" software. Then you too can show off your body or masturbate for the world to see! The other choices available on top of the free membership include Standard, Silver, and Gold memberships. These are what you'd expect from a premium community service, i.e. by becoming a paying member you're provided with additional member features like search tools, buddy list, build your own webpage, voice chat, private chat, etc. One important feature that only comes with Silver and Gold memberships is the cam speed. Those members get to watch cams that are up to 6x faster.

It's been nearly two years since we first looked at Any Webcam and in that time I still can't think of a comparable service. The dudes still outnumber the chicks by a wide margin, over 6 to 1, but the uniqueness of the service is still worth noting for webcam enthusiasts. In addition to the cam video, chat, and message boards, there are also competitions. They have monthly entries for Couple Adult Video, Male Adult Video, Female Adult Video, Adult Video, and Holiday Dress Up. What impressed me most is that there are archives for each category dating back to 2003. The quality of the women is still hit-and-miss with average looking broads dominating the site. Unlike other webcam sites this isn't just a pay for sex shows site, it's one where you need to get down and involved in the action.
