American Kittens is up for review today, and I definitely see a lot of pussy on this site at least (which blends in well with the cat theme). It looks like they offer up a pretty standard theme here, with cute girl-next-door types being shot in hopefully high-quality scenes. Everything is exclusive, and they shoot them themselves. Updates can be seen in the tour, and are basically coming daily right now. There's quite a few photo galleries to see inside, and some videos as well. $30 gets you a membership here, which is a bit high, but it sounds like they may make it worth your while.
The goods:
- Lots of photos up. It's a little weird since there aren't a ton of videos, and there aren't a ton of models overall, but there are quite a few (hundreds!) of photo galleries of the girls they do have here. There's a good bit to see if you're here for the photos at least.
- Exclusive, unique content. As they mentioned in the tour, the content is shot in-house and exclusive. The photos can have a bit of a unique feel to them which I like, though it's not always the case. They can definitely hit some fun scenes though.
- Updates come often. Right now they're coming almost daily, which I'd love to see them keep up. I'm not sure if that's the norm, but I won't complain about it!
- Quality is good. The videos look decent, while the pictures can look really good once you hit the full-size version. They can be quite clear, colorful, and sharp, and are fun to look at to boot.
The bads:
- Not as many videos. I'm not sure why they don't have as many videos in comparison to photos, as they're pretty fun to watch and they seem like they know what they're doing (quality is good, scenes are good, etc.). Overall though, if you're here for the videos, it's a much smaller site.
- Navigation could be tweaked a bit. They have some good options here including a model's index and a search, but it just doesn't flow well for me or something. The model's index, for instance, is setup with a link for each letter of the alphabet. Since the site doesn't have many models, there's usually only one girl or so for each letter. You can browse them all, but then they only list twelve per page, which makes for a lot of clicking around between pages, especially as they grow. The search could benefit from a few more ideas/options of what to search for exactly.
- Default pictures are smaller. I almost started writing about how their pictures are too small for what they're doing, but then I saw the link to switch to the high-res pictures. Unfortunately you have to do this for every set you view, but it's well worth it.
Conclusion:
I like the photography here at American Kittens for the most part, and they have a lot of good things going for them. They are a pretty large site, update often, and have some decent content. I wish the video section were larger, and hopefully the number of models will continue to grow a bit as well. Otherwise, it's a nice site that does well, even without having to branch out into bizarre content. Just some cute girls and good fun.
