Amateur Match is up for review today, and it's a dating site that bills itself as the "sexiest adult dating community." The tour doesn't give a ton of info away, as all it offers is a form to let you sign up, and some ads thrown in there. Once inside, it's more of the same, with a lot of dating listings, and some extras thrown in here and there too. It's tough to find any membership prices without actually signing up, but we have them listed at $25 a month for their premium membership, which seems pretty high for a dating site like this.
The goods:
- Lots of dating listings. I have no idea how many there are total, but a simple search reveals thousands of dating listings here to browse through. I guess most dating sites are pretty large, and this one doesn't fall short either.
- Large gallery collections. Their section of photo galleries offers a lot of photos too. They're supposed to be submitted by the members of the site here, but a lot of them feel like generic content photos.
The bads:
- Not a ton in terms of community. They have a chat room which was pretty active, but that's about it as far as the community aspect went. There were no forums, classifieds, meet ups, etc.
- Not many ads felt real. As with most any dating site out there, the ads didn't really feel like they were actual girls living five minutes from me waiting to meet up. Lots of the photos are recognizable as content from other sites.
- Expensive. $25 a month seems like a lot to spend here to get the premium membership. I wouldn't really use this as a great dating tool, and there's not a ton of great content you get either if you ask me.
Conclusion:
I've never been a huge fan of dating sites, and I think it's only gotten worse over time. I don't feel you get a ton for your money here in terms of anything legit, especially in regards to finding someone to date. With the main reason to join shot down, you're left with the content, which isn't that great either. The site itself is clean, offers some okay options, and gets the job done well, I just don't feel the core of the site lives up to the hype.
