Intro

One look at the tour of Amateur Hi Def and I'm excited! The pretty blue design perfectly showcasing just how crystal clear their video scenes are. They claim to offer beautiful women in true HD format. Sure the 1280x720 sizing is there, but lets see how the actual picture quality holds up! The scenes offer a mix of solo softcore and hardcore content with new updates appear to be averaging 3 times per month (although numbers don't quite add up). A membership here will set you back about $30 bucks, giving access to the current archive of more than 900 videos and 600 image galleries.

The Pros

Large Archive of Video & Image Content.

Lots of video content and lots of variety. From soft fetishes to hardcore sex acts, amateur videos, and hot your basic amateur pornos, Amateur Hi Def carries one decently sized archives of video clips and images to check out. Scenes include blowjobs, facials, nylons, teens, POV, breast fucking, vibrators, squirting and more.

HD Videos Offered.

Currently this is a whole selection of videos with HD specs offering specs up to 3300k. They're certainly not perfect HD but they do look nice. And best of all, they're offered for each and every video listed on the site.

Other Good Stuff:

Nice viewing options. Videos can be streamed using their Flash tool, or you can download to your hard drive in HD (WMV or H.264) as well as iPod or PSP.
Flash streams available with short buffering times and preview thumbs for moving around. Most videos also offer an iPod download version.
Simple site set-up. Models are listed in alphabetical order, or by newest. Pics and videos can be listed separately and all content is tagged and cross-linked to other similar content.

The Cons

May be Some Non-Exclusive Content.

It's hard to say for sure just how much of the content here is exclusive, but it appears to be a largely non-exclusive archive of scenes that are being offered. Some models have bio info and multiple sets, so that is promising, but many do not.

Browse Tools Could be More Advanced.

Basically they've just got the basics down here without the option to actually browse by (multiple) content categories & model specifics. The search tool is a simple keyword search box, etc. The overall feel is clean, but basic.

Updates Are Slow & Content May be Rotated.

This month just 2 new video scenes and 1 new image set were added. But by our content counts it doesn't appear as though content is even truly being added at all! For almost $30 bucks per month, updates should be a lot more consistent, faster paced, and actually coming in.

Minor Negatives:

The HD content doesn't offer the perfect HD picture quality you're probably used to seeing from sites offering HD spec videos. There is a little bit of compression artifacts for some of them and overall bitrate speeds could be higher.
High res pics must be downloaded in order to view.

Bottom Line

A decent # of amateur HD scenes, but nothing too much to stand out.

I think I was more excited by the tour here than the actual site itself. While the videos do in fact offer HD specs, only some of the content felt unique to the site and the overall picture quality could still use some improvement. That's not to say it's bad, but when you call your self Amateur Hi Def, you better deliver and then some! My biggest concern is with updates, which appear to be coming in slowly, but for some reason our staff has noted that content count doesn't seem to be increasing. And nothing too much stood out to me here either, although I did appreciate that some of the models had more than one scene and decent bio info. For almost $30 bucks per month, however, I guess I was expecting more.
