Well I don't know who AL is or what he's scanning, but I do know checking out the homepage of ALSSCAN.com that there are some hot chicks here on the first few pages. Judging from my first look here in the tour, it doesn't look like there are scans at all (there's probably an explanation somewhere on the site, but I haven't looked around really for it, too many boobs to look at), rather the site offers up some pretty high-quality photography of college gals looking mighty fine.
Browsing into the member's area, his updates page is full of listings, with a new photoset coming online every day. You can browse his member's section either in frames, or no frames. It's up to you as the frames help you move around the site easier, but a few times while I was browsing around (and probably my own fault for opening up some links in their own windows), I had the pictures show up in the wrong window or something. No biggie though!
Checking out his featured models, there's quite a few here. As of last count, there's just over 100 gals ready to please you, well we can all hope at least. The ladies look great, and most seem to be ranging in age from 18-24 or so. Apparently some more requirements to be on the site is that you're a fun person, that you're shaved, and that you're willing to stick large, exotic objects up inside yourself. While I didn't happen to notice any girls stuffing a mangosteen up inside them (ok bad joke, a mangosteen is an exotic, asian fruit - it's exotic!), I did notice a few familiar faces here that you'll recognize if you've checked out many porn sites. Thankfully all the content is exclusive here, so for sure you'll never have seen the actual photosets before.
The picture quality ranges from good, to very good. Of course the older photos look just that, older. They are usually just under 800x600 (due to some cropping, no doubt), and look their age. Even though they're a few years old, the quality is still pretty good with clear, crisp photos available. I'll take this time to note that he also offers up zip files for the photos, which usually consist of the photos you see on that specific page. If you work your way around his updates page, you'll get to see some of his newer stuff. You'll see he's upped the picture size to 1200x800 which is a welcome change for me. The quality has improved with even better photos than I saw earlier. I think his newer pictures beat most any amateur photographs I've seen before from similar sites.
The videos section isn't huge, but it'll do :) There were no video links in the updates section, but if you check the dates in their latest video updates, you'll notice they update the videos every day as well. The rub here is that they rotate out clips every two weeks. So I guess that means there's only two weeks of clips up at any one time. Thankfully he keeps it pretty full regardless of this policy. The actual videos themselves are presented in both AVI/DIVX (for the newer ones), and MPG (for the older ones). The quality of the videos is outstanding. Even at full-screen they look almost perfect. They're not overly long at two minutes or so each, but they dive right into the action so you don't waste time with the boring stuff.
My biggest gripe for the site is server speed. I postponed my review for an hour or so, and then to the next day because the member's area was loading so slow. It might have been a problem with the www2.alsscan.com server yesterday, as that seems to have been fixed today and working better. But the video server was just as slow today as it was yesterday for me. And it's not slow just in that they are huge files and it takes a while to download, it takes forever for the server to respond for me; once the download starts it's just fine. Some other reviewers didn't notice this, so maybe I got in on a bad day (or two). Either way, once the video starts you'll be in heaven for sure ;-)
The only other problem is the obviously antiquated design. Otherwise I obviously like the content quality a lot, and the updates come pretty often. Even the price is about right for what you're getting in my opinion. As long as AL keeps cranking out these quality scans, I'll keep giving the site pretty good marks.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, I don't really think the dude's name is AL (just check out his front page logo for the explanation).

Wow, it's really been a long time since we've officially looked at the site last. Things are looking similar, but better, at ALS Scan than the first time we were here. They've grown of course, first and foremost. There are more photos than ever, but the videos section still isn't quite as large in comparison unfortunately. Hopefully that's changing as they're trying to re-vamp the video section a bit in the coming months.
Quality is better than ever with very large photos available on some sets (in the 3000 pixel range). Video quality remains good, though it doesn't stand out as much as it did last time we were here. The model's index is much more usable with some pictures available, though the price has gone up to $30 for the first month (and $25 each month after that). There hasn't really been a redesign (and it needs one pretty bad now), though the new navigational features help making getting around a little easier. All in all, it's mostly good news around here, and ALS Scan is doing well these days.

Listen up... things are looking pretty good here at ALS Scan for sure. It seems like someone woke the sleeping giant, as changes are happening all over the place. I'll start with the only bad news (if you can call it that), the design is the same as before, but who the fuck cares?
New videos shot from the beginning of 2007 onward are in full, high-definition format. They look awesome of course, but you knew that. They're also re-doing their older videos up to full DVD-quality at 720x480 or so and about 3000kbps. It'll take some time, but they're moving quick. Videos are also kept online forever now, so just watch that video count skyrocket over the next few months.
Pictures look better now in two huge sizes, plus zip files for each. More quality is coming on all fronts it seems. The extras are doing well here as well, including blogs, model pages, etc.
I love the changes here and can't wait to see how things improve going forward. Kudos to them for taking a beast of a site and doing what they're doing to keep it current!
