Intro

AlS Scan is one of those glamour photography and video sites that goes back a long time - to 1996 to be exact. ALS stands for All Ladies Shaved so that's the specialty angle in play along with exclusive material and high-resolution content. TBP has looked at and reviewed the site several times over the years so I'm familiar with what to expect however new visitors can get a good feel for what's here from the guest tour. Sample pictures and videos are available as is an update archives and a model index. The layout of those pages is essentially the same as in the member's area so it does give you a solid overview in terms of the navigation as well as the content.

The Pros

Huge Collection of Exclusive Pictures/Videos, Great Mix of Models.

The content is the star of the show at ALS Scan as there is just a ton of picture galleries and videos which are exclusive and feature sexy models. The girls are a mix of U.S. and European and of course as the title states they are indeed shaved. In terms of the database of content ALS competes with the best sites out there in the photography genre and if you like the guest tour samples then you're going to get your money's worth.

Nice Variety of Softcore, Masturbation, Toy Play, Girl/Girl, etc.

ALS Scan is far from being a collection of girls that are just nude. The shoots take place in all sorts of indoor and outdoor settings and the action is all over the place. Solo model masturbation and toy play make up a big part of things along with girl/girl and you can even find kinkier stuff like fisting and peeing. I noted one recent boy/girl hardcore blowjob scene too so that caught my attention as well.

Excellent Content Quality, HD Videos & High-Res Pics w/ Zips.

High-resolution content is available with newer videos having 1920x1080 8000k WMV files along with MP4 and DivX in 1280x720 4000k levels. Picture quality is right there as well with images reaching up to the neighborhood of about 4200x2800. Pic sizes to vary a bit from set to set but you get the idea and both high-res and standard levels are offered. Zip files also have the two options which is a nice touch.

Director Blog & Specials Like Location Shoots & Casting Calls.

ALS gives some content extras in the form of a director's blog, casting calls, production content, polls, outtakes, and bloopers. Behind-the-scenes stuff like this adds another depth to the site that brings additional personality to the table. Things like the casting calls allow you to see where the visit to find their models.

Other Good Stuff:

Daily updates with an excellent track record going back years.
The update archive has content additions organized by month/year. Also, a models index and dedicated videos sections are helpful for browsing the collection.
Photo and video size/spec information is shown for each image and movie file. Also, good bio info is provided for the girls along with written shoot summaries for the videos.

The Cons

Fairly Basic Navigation/Design, No Search Tool or Niche Sections.

The features they have in place with the chronological year/month archives and model index work fine however ALS has so much content that additional tools would be helpful. Furthermore they have all sorts of action ranging from glamour to fetish stuff so some sort of niche breakdown would really help. The model index also doesn't have any ways to sort the girls other than alphabetically which is pretty unusual for a site like this.

Quality Can Vary on the Older Content, Some Vids in Clips Only.

With the newer content quality reaching HD and high-res level it's only fair to point out that when bumping around the collection you will find more standard quality levels on the older stuff. This is particularly true when sifting through the models index when content can be from many years back. I also saw some of the videos are in a couple of parts without the full video option.

Minor Negatives:

Download speeds are average and some of the HD movies are quite sizable at over 1GB. Using a download manager is probably a good way to go.
The update list only goes back to 2006. Older content is accessible through the model index however I wish they'd have a full listing thru the month/year set-up since the site goes back a decade further than '06.
The photo galleries don't have shoot summaries like the videos and no file size info is posted for the zips.

The other

The updates log includes some miscellaneous items or ads that aren't ALS content. These include things like sample content from other paysites or links to a 3rd party webcam site.

Bottom Line

ALS has an outstanding collection of sexy shaved models in high-res content.

As an exclusive photography and video site ALS is impressive. The focus on shaved models is definitely a characteristic that stands out as is the great mix of solo, toy, and girl/girl action. In terms of content ALS is right up there with the big boys in this niche category it's really just the site design that's lagging behind a bit. All told the good points significantly outweigh the negatives as ALS has a lot to offer.
