Right away on the guest tour of Adult Movie Network it's easy to pick up on the fact that this is very much an "old school" style paysite. By that I mean the tour is simply a few pages with "next" buttons that lead surfers to a join page. Very little insight is provided about what movies, amount of content, or file formatting is available to members. The member's area actually is similar with much of site being dedicated simply to3rd party plug in feeds.
The Goods:
- Some Different Video Niches. Their own movies (and the plug-ins) cover a decent number of niches. Here's a quick list of some for their own movies: teen, lesbian, milf, handjobs, interracial, group sex, cumshots, and creampies.
- Discounted Price. This definitely helps a little in the value field especially since the normal price is really high.
The Bads:
- Too Much Leased Content. The member's area reminds me of sites that used to be around in the mid 90's when internet porn first got going. The plug-in feeds and leased content just doesn't fly anymore especially for movie sites. The content area is dominated by this stuff and it's actually tough to figure out where their own collection of movies is at.
- No Update Info. The updates link simply leads to a page with info about which plug-ins have changed recently. This doesn't cut it in terms of updating. None of the material is dated and I'm guessing new stuff is not added all that often.
- In-Browser Only Videos. This hurts bad for a site in the video niche. Most surfers are all about good quality downloads and formatting options.
Conclusion:
As far as general hardcore movie/video sites go Adult Movie Network comes up short in many key ways. Movies is one of the most popular niches out there with some top level download sites so the competition is tough. The concept and so much of what this site offers is just too outdated for what surfers expect nowadays.
