1 by-day promises "every day a new face, a new style, and fresh new original pictures." Ahh I get it now, 1 by day ;-) Checking out their preview area, you can visit today's gallery, or view their calendar with the last few months updates. These two links actually took you to the exact same page, so you couldn't really see anything about today's gallery at all. Weird. Anyhow, I was trying to find some free content, and was having some trouble. Finally I figured out the purple background days have clickable stuff. Wish they'd tell me that! Some of the preview content has broken images, which detracts a bit from the tour in my opinion. Their base pricing is $29.95/mo and goes up from there depending how long you'd like to buy (it gets cheaper obviously the longer you wanna stay).
Anyhow, into the members area. They offer up basically what you saw in the tour, which I really enjoy. At least you know there's no trickery going on anywhere. The "daily grace" takes you right to today's new gallery. Today's happens to be a threesome series, but a good majority of the sets are solo girls (or solo with toys). It looks like Friday's are their hardcore days. "Friday is a fucking day...", ahh college memories.
Looking at their pictures, you have two options of viewing them. First you can check out the thumbnail view while online, which gives ya 20 pics per page to check out. You also have the option of a zip download, although you're still only downloading 20 pics at a time. It would've made much more sense to me to place all the pics in a zip file, instead of making you download 5+ zip files just go get one full set. Their thumbnail page is a bit cluttered, mostly because they doubled up on each of their navigational links. Picture quality is pretty high, although not as perfect as others I've seen. Some of the pictures make it look like it was all shot on film, and passed through on a high-quality scanner. I can't really be sure. The damn black borders around every pic are reminiscent of 80's porn for some reason to me, but if you can look past it it's not that bothersome. Actual size varies based on the orientation of the picture - horizontal come in at 968x624, while vertical pics are at 530x819. I wouldn't have minded seeing an option for some larger pics, but they picked an ok middle ground for having just one picture size. Picture sets usually range around 100 per set, with a little variation.
Video seems to be relatively new here. It looks like they started adding video clips around the first of the year (2003), as before that date all they have is picture sets. I'm glad they're trying, but I wish they would implement it better. As it is now, they are using AVI's and a Divx codec. This makes the video look nice, but your player has to download the entire clip before it starts playing. They don't offer different quality settings, so you're stuck downloading the 10mb+ file each and every time. This usually equates to a clip that's a few minutes long at best. Once the video is playing it looks and sounds really nice, but I'm not sure how worth it it is, especially if you're on dialup.
With updates coming every day of the week, you're sure not to get bored at least. The pictures are pretty good, and the video is good if you're willing to wait for the long download. They have a few extras that weren't mentioned here, but mostly because they weren't all that important to the site. These include their store, a bloopers section, and more.
The site isn't perfect, but it's better than a lot of what's out there right now. Check it out for a month, and you can see for yourself if you'd like to rebill. Hopefully their video improves in the future; add that to the archive of videos they'll have in a few months, and that should make this site much more well-rounded and definitely worth some of your time.

This followup isn't so much for a change in their site, rather it's more a chance to look back after seeing so many more member's areas since this review was initially completed. The name of the game at 1 by day is quality content. It looks like they've increased the size of their standard pics, and man are they big! We're looking at 1600x1000 pics now, and they look fantastic. They look like digital photographs to me (as opposed to scans), but that black border is still present and I'm not sure where it came from.
Since they add a new video set most everyday now, I'm betting their video count has jumped a ton. They still only offer one quality option of DivX clips, which would be ok if it offered up great quality. Unfortunately, the video was a little pixelated, which surprised me. It's still good, but doesn't look as great as their photos do.
Some things I'd like to see are a better looking/organized site, and better looking videos. I bumped up the updates and entertaining score, but lowered the download and design score.
Score remains at 92.3.

Well well, looks like we have a better looking site here. I think while they are concentrating on content, they've teamed up with another company to help run the actual website here. You can now browse by models (as well as the familiar calendar view), which helps a lot. Most of the recent sets have video included, so you can just browse for that in the same places. Video quality is still a slight issue for me, though they've added more options for viewing them (Quicktime, DivX, and Windows Media Video).
Not a bad update here, it's still not perfect, but much better overall I'd say. Come here for the content, and the rest is just icing on the cake.

Wow, we first looked at 1By-Day (and now 1By-Night has been added to the title too - more updaets!) about 3.5 years ago which is just crazy. It was a popular site then, and with many improvements over the years, they're doing even better now. A new site is in place which looks awesome and offers more navigation features, which helps get rid of the one con I had listed before. The content counts are ridiculously huge, and of course more is added twice a day now keeping the site growing. Quality is better than ever with the addition of high-definition videos that look awesome. There's just not enough good to say about the site here. All that's left is to hope that you love the softcore and hardcore European content here, as they've lined everything up quite well to make a fantastic site.
