18 Closeup has a couple things going on that make it a bit different from many other sites. First, their niche is up close shoots where they focus close in on the models during the movies. They also have different membership prices depending on what video quality you want to pay for. So both their niche focus along with the pricing are a bit unique.
The Goods:
- Up-Close Style Shoots, Some Toy Play. Up close style content is a micro-specialty that I don't run into all that often as a reviewer. Only a few sites come to mind when it comes to that particular theme. 18 Closeup has sexy models in solo performances that include stripping, finger play, and toy action too.
- Ultra Hi-Res Video Content. This is definitely one of the big selling points of what's being offered here. As a solo softcore based site it's great that they not only forego pics in favor of videos but also go the extra mile to have high-resolution movies for members.
- Model Navigation Page, Steady Updates. The member's main page has a summary of updates plus the shoots can be browsed chronologically. Although it's not alphabetized or categorized there is a model list page which makes it simple to jump to the shoots of any particular girl.
The Bads:
- No Ultra Hi-Res Vids for Older Shoots. Since one of the main assets of 18 Upclose is the HD videos it's important to note that some models don't have the highest level available. Some of these older movies have no quality level choices at all, just one vid format/quality option.
- Could Use More Models. The site is fairly new on the scene so quantity isn't a strength. They're focused in on selling quality and originality in terms of shoot style. The update pace has settled in on two new additions per week. That's an okay pace though it does seem to be very steady without any update gaps.
- Vids Only in DivX Format. As I mentioned earlier the older vids have only one file choice. The newer vids available in three quality levels although just in the DivX format. Additional formats would be welcome just for more choice.
Conclusion:
18 Upclose seems to have setup a solid foundation and accomplished its goal of having up-close style shoots with high-resolution videos. For those interested in that type of specialty content this is a site that's worth checking out. The models are quite sexy which is quite important for solo girl softcore shoots. It'll be interesting to see how the site evolves as it builds up a larger collection of shoots and models.
